Domaine de Rancy, Rivesaltes Ambré, France, Macabeo, 2000

A great example of a naturally sweet wine that has been fortified from the Rousillon region of France.  Aged in oak barrels for 20 years this slowly oxidized wine offers notes of caramel, dried figs and dates. Delicious with tiramisu or basque cheesecake.
