Isabel Ferrando, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, France, Grenache blend, 2021

Isabel started the Saint Prefert winery in 2003 and has farmed it organically since the beginning.  Vineyards were certified biodynamic in 2022!  A classic blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvedre, and Syrah.  Fresh raspberries, lavender, black pepper, and other woody herbs make this an insanely delicious bottle of wine.  Isabel manages to take one of the warmest areas in Chateauneuf du Pape and make wines with restraint and elegance.  This bottle is delicious to drink now with a little time to breathe or can be held for 10-15 years.
