Rippon, "Mature Vine," Lake Wanaka, New Zealand, Pinot Noir, 2016

Made from the oldest, most fully developed Pinot Noir vines in Lake Wananka, Central Otago, New Zealand. This 2016 wine is super special and shows a lot of complexity! Absolutley, ready to drink, but fully capable of developing even more beautifully with time in the cellar.  The winery hugs Lake Wanaka, and this vintage especially shows the maritime influence with a nose that offers an abundance of wild dark berries with just a hint of savory herbs. The palate is lasting with bramble fruits, crushed purple flowers black tea and forest floor. Enjoy with Cornish hen and even wild berry cobbler.
